Introduction to Ayurveda: Heal from the inside out
Ayurveda, or the “science of life” is an ancient and holistic science from Kerala India focused on the balance of mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda, known as the sister science to yoga, views each individual as unique, thus needing different foods, environments, exercise, etc. to stay balanced.
In this workshop, you will learn an introduction to Ayurveda, the main principles, about each of the doshas and how they function, how to incorporate Ayurveda into your daily life, and how to modify your yoga practice according to the seasons. We will work together to discover any current imbalances that you have and how to restore balance in the body.
Ayurveda: Digestion, Cleansing and Healing
This workshop will begin with a brief introduction to Ayurveda, “the science of life,” a holistic science which began in India. This will include an introduction to the doshas, and how, when, and what to eat according to your dosha. Then, we will take it a step further to learn about our digestive fire, how to prevent and remove toxic buildup in the body, and Ayurvedic remedies to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit. Additionally, we will go through different cleansing/detox techniques that are recommended by Ayurveda, including which types might be best for you and when to do them. We will finish the workshop with Ayurvedic home remedies on how to heal common illnesses naturally with the correct herbs, oils and spices.
